DataServ has installed and/or upgraded 440+ videoconference systems for a state-wide
distance learning initiative in Ohio and was the most selected vendor during each
of three separate rounds for the past 7 years. The goals of this initiative are:
- To provide students and teachers access to resources so that new work can be created
by and for students;
- To provide teachers and administrators professional development for using distance
learning to enhance classroom, school and district activities; and
- To provide students, teachers, administrators and the educational community at large
a new way through distance education technologies to communicate and collaborate.
Example: State College
DataServ integrated all data, audio and visual equipment and peripherals for a state
college presentation room including: multiple cameras, document stand, projector
and screen, desktop computer, guest laptop computer connection, videoconference
equipment and Webcast equipment – a fully integrated, state-of-the-art videoconference
learning room solution. All the technology is conveniently controlled through an
intuitive touch screen system that allows the presenter to focus on what is being
presented rather than the technology. The intent of this room was to be able to
offer presentations in-person, via videoconference, Webcast globally or using any
combination depending on preferred distribution based on intended audience and need.
